What is the opportunity?

Entuitive is currently seeking a curious and self-motivated candidate with experience in building energy simulation and/or energy audits to join our energetic and collaborative team. At Entuitive, our modeling team guides our clients in designing and retrofitting buildings that remain highly energy efficient and durable, considering voluntary and legislated climate change mitigation standards (e.g., Passive House, Energy Step Code, Zero Carbon Building Standard). Our dynamic team uses a scientific approach to help solve the problems of tomorrow today, including energy modeling with future weather files, creating paths to decarbonization, and supporting responsible design. We are looking for a strong candidate interested in both new and existing building simulations and open to experience in either category.

What will you do?

• Use your technical knowledge, curiosity, and wiliness to learn to assist our clients improve the performance of their buildings in terms of energy, carbon, occupant health and wellbeing, and holistic sustainability.
• Work well alone, or with other team members to meet the needs of our new construction and existing buildings clients.
• Maintain high standards of technical excellence in the delivery of energy modeling services, including simulation, calculation and evaluation
• Demonstrate and grow excellent skills in project management, client service and project delivery.
• Work collaboratively with clients to confirm their needs and expectations at the outset of projects.
• Perform site visits to evaluate current energy performance at existing buildings (energy auditing experience is considered a strong asset).
• Perform energy modeling analyses independently and with the support of other Entuitive staff using a variety of software.
• Demonstrate the benefits of improved design, including energy and cost savings, life cycle cost analysis, return on investment, available incentives, and more.
• Present results of analyses to clients and stakeholders in a visually engaging manner, including written reports and presentations.
• Assist with research of new products, systems, and methods
• Draft technical papers and prepare presentations
• Collaborate closely with other Entuitive teams including embodied carbon, sustainable buildings and climate action, building envelope, structural engineering, transportation, and more.
