We are seeking candidates interested in progressing their careers as a Certified Energy Advisors (CEA). If you are a passionate and motivated individual who is a certified NRCan Energy Advisor looking for a service organization, we encourage you to apply. As a highly trained and qualified Energy Advisor, you will be responsible for collecting on-site data and performing measurements, and subsequent residential energy modeling in accordance with Natural Resources Canada requirements. You will be working closely with clients and professionals alike and provide clear communications both verbally and through drawings and details. You will have all the necessary knowledge and resources to help clients understand measures required to reduce energy consumption and promote global sustainability.

Responsibilities:

· Learn about the Natural Resources Canada Energuide rating system & achieve certification status

· Perform residential energy assessments and modelling using HOT2000 software

· Flexible workday schedule, not necessarily excluding weekends

· Must be able to work in various weather conditions

· Some physically activity is required (carry 40lbs. short distances, climb small ladders, access crawl spaces)

Requirements:

• Ideally having passed the required certification exams but NOT mandatory
• Ideally proficient in H2K prescribed energy modeling software, but NOT mandatory
• Basic knowledge of residential building materials and home construction
• Passionate about the environment

• Access to a computer to complete modelling

• Access to Blower Door (preferred)

Qualifications

· Eventual Certified Energy Advisor designation having passed both required exams

· Proficient computer skills using HOT2000, Microsoft Office, E-mail, and other every-day computer programs
