Position Overview:

The Manager of Digital Fundraising is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for executing and managing our digital fundraising campaigns. This role combines a deep understanding of digital marketing, campaign management, budgeting, and strategic development to ensure our organization has the necessary funds to continue our critical work in conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Implementation: Implement a robust digital fundraising strategy to increase donor engagement and revenue. Focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as improving conversion rates, and average gift.
  • Campaign Management: Support the planning, execution, and optimization of all digital fundraising campaigns across various platforms (social media, email marketing, Pay Per Click (PPC), etc.).
  • Budgeting & Reporting: Help manage the digital fundraising budget, ensuring Return on Investment (ROI) and cost-effectiveness. Provide regular updates on campaign performance, conversions, and expenditure.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Communications and Programs, to integrate fundraising strategies into broader organizational efforts.
  • Donor Engagement: Cultivate relationships with donors through tailored online communication strategies, ensuring they are engaged and informed.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest digital marketing and fundraising trends to incorporate best practices into our strategy.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, and guide both internal and external team of marketing and fundraising specialists.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital fundraising or digital marketing, preferably in the non-profit sector or with an e-commerce focus.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and executing digital campaigns that drive results.
  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools, including analytics, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, email marketing platforms, and more.
  • Experience working in an environmental/conservation organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an environmental/conservation organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with HubSpot, MailChimp etc.
  • Strategic development, program management, and budgeting experience.
  • Bilingual (French and English). Mandarin/Cantonese a plus

Work Conditions

  • Permanent, full-time at 37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required.
  • Location: Head Office in Ottawa, ON with hybrid flexibility to work from home two consecutive days per week.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate computer and peripherals.
  • Interacts with employees, and various management levels.
  • Repetitive work.
