Energy Advisor

Next Level Consulting is passionate about helping homeowners minimize their carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption and reducing utility bills - all of which makes the world more sustainable.

We are seeking candidates interested in progressing their careers as Energy Advisors. If you are a passionate and motivated individual who is or will be a certified NRCan Energy Advisor looking for a service organization, we encourage you to apply. As a highly trained and qualified Energy Advisor, you will perform on site residential Energy Audits in accordance with NRCan standards. You will have all the necessary knowledge and resources to help clients understand measures required to reduce energy consumption.

Responsibilities:

• Learn about the Natural Resources Canada Energuide rating system & achieve certification status
• Perform Residential Energy assessments and modelling using HOT2000
• Measure dimensions and volume of a home, observe insulative properties, examine HVAC systems and perform blower door testing.
• Explain program details, potential upgrades, and benefits to home owners
• Create & submit reports to clients
• Review and submit documentation

• Flexible workday schedule, availability to work some weekends
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions
• Some physically activity is required (carry 40lbs. short distances, climb small ladders, access crawl spaces)

• Basic knowledge of residential building materials and home construction
• Passionate about the environment

• Analytical Skills
• Access to a computer to complete modelling
• Driver’s License
• Access to vehicle
• Access to Blower Door preferred

Qualifications

• Eventual Certified Energy Advisor designation having passed the foundation and Energy Advisor exams
• Proficient computer skills using HOT2000, email (outlook), and other every-day computer programs
