Location: Remote or Hybrid-Flexible- near Edmonton

BayWa r.e. is looking for a positive, responsible, detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Purchaser. It is the perfect foot in the door for your new career in the growing solar industry. The ideal candidate is able to work with a high attention to detail in a busy and exciting environment, forecasting and tracking inventory requirements, placing PO’s, following up on lead times, updating the sales team on deliveries, following industry news and trends, and much more! It’s a busy and hands-on position, so you’d better be willing to be a difference maker in a growing industry!

Key Responsibilities:

• Working within our ERP system to track, plan, and procure inventory
• Place purchase orders and track their lead times continuously
• Research and follow various solar-related technologies for new product ideas
• Attend trade shows and maintain relationships with vendors
• Organize relevant pricing and technical information for the rest of the team to access easily
• Communicate with sales team regarding slow-moving inventory
• Meet or exceed KPI’s around inventory turns and stock-outs
