  • Support clients with incentive, funding, and financing applications.
  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Executive Team.
  • Regularly report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process and other contract or project related administrative documents.
  • Consult with building owners and managers as well as financial institutions that are pioneering retrofit and development efforts to minimize operational and whole-life cycle carbon and work towards net zero emissions buildings.
  • Provide organizational support and expansion functions including proposal drafting, presentation development, financial modelling, business development, and networking.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of construction or renovation projects of varying size and scope.
  • A bachelors degree or technical diploma in engineering, architecture, planning, project management, or construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
  • Leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, project management models, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Energy efficiency / GHG management; including a technical understanding of decarbonization mechanisms and technologies and renewable energy.
  • Project Manager Professional designation with the Project Management Institute is an asset.
  • Experience with conducting energy audits, GHG and lifecycle assessments, identifying decarbonization strategies and associated cost/benefit analysis is an asset.
  • Personal attributes: Listen and seek first to understand, life-long learner, communicate clearly, get results, inspire, questioning, detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.

What’s in it for you

  • An opportunity to help deliver real world building decarbonization projects and to empower organizations to manage climate risk and make their buildings more resilient.
  • A chance to educate, strategize, and to assist in shaping the strategic growth of a new climate consultancy.
  • Salary range between $80K - $100K commensurate with experience plus bonus commensurate with performance.
  • Generous health and RRSP benefits package and flexible work options.
