Greenwave Innovations is a growing entrepreneurial company providing energy management solutions and conservation consulting services to our clients across Canada. Our data-driven approach uses electrical, natural gas and water sub-monitoring solutions allowing us to analyze consumption and provide insights and recommendations aimed at reducing our client’s utility bills and greenhouse gas emissions.

The Role:

This position will join the Operations Team and will be responsible for assisting clients with their short and long-term energy management strategies. You will own the relationships with our clients and work with them to understand their needs. You will provide exceptional customer service to clients and articulate Greenwave’s value, design sub-monitoring systems, analyze equipment performance data, and provide recommendations to our clients for energy conservation opportunities and improved equipment performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Validate and analyze energy consumption and be able to interpret results, produce reports, and make recommendations for conservation opportunities and preventative maintenance
  • Own the client relationship by facilitating client meetings and delivering presentations
  • Research, co-ordinate, and assemble information and prepare client reports and presentations
  • Measure and track energy conservation results in terms of both utility savings and carbon emission reductions
  • Lead the set-up of predictive maintenance and conditional alerts within Greenwave’s software platform
  • Identify conservation capital projects and project return on investment equations
  • Design energy sub-monitoring systems
  • Provide on-site sub-monitoring system commissioning
  • Visit client facilities to investigate energy usage and formulate recommendations
  • Manage projects, often multiple at the same time
  • Contribute to team projects and effectively participate as a team member
  • Assist the sales team in providing technical presentations to potential clients explaining Greenwave’s solutions and services
  • Perform related work as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Technical understanding of building HVAC systems and building operations
  • Self-motivated critical thinker with a natural ability to work independently and with others in a high-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative team environment
  • Excellent project management with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate your detailed technical understanding in plain language to varying levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in order to establish effective working relationships with other employees and internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to create and conduct presentations with ease to explain your data analysis, findings, and recommendations to various stakeholders
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, and have an ability to decipher data, formulate recommendations, and track energy conservation results
  • Can contribute and complete client projects sometimes within tight deadlines and take responsibility for your work commitments
  • An open and active curiosity in learning about the industry we serve, and actively seek guidance to improve your performance

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience with preference given to experience working with HVAC / mechanical systems
  • HVAC or Building Management courses taken through a university or institute of technology is considered an asset
  • Engineering degree, is considered an asset
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required

Working/Other Conditions

  • This position may be required to travel to client sites outside the city of Regina
  • Must have the means and ability to travel within the city of Regina
