With your extensive knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, proven ability to problem solve and make optimal decisions, and slick project management skills, you’ll fit right in with our dynamic and solution-oriented C&EM team.

If you like meaningful work, a dynamic environment and forward-thinking colleagues, build your career with us.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop integrated strategies for budgeting regulatory filings and long-term resource planning.

In year 1, you will:

  • Review and assess customer proposed gas and electric energy efficiency projects.
  • Support our development of capacity-targeted electric demand side management opportunities.
  • Support the development of our long-term gas and electric resource planning with a focus on decarbonization and supporting emerging customer loads.

In year 2, you will:

  • Oversee and complete a Conservation Potential Review, which uncovers the possible energy savings available in our electric service area.
  • Create options for the energy saving targets we can pursue, and work with our teams to initiate a preferred option.
  • Support measurement and verification projects for our conservation and energy management programs.

What it takes:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Four to seven years of relevant work experience in an energy related field.
  • Eligible or already attained to meet the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC requirements for Professional Engineer status.
  • Direct utility experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and energy systems.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
